Graphics Programmer

 

[Full time] Graphics Programmer

Cloisters Interactive is looking for a Graphics Programmer to work on our upcoming project, slated to start Fall 2022. This is a full-time contract position.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Experience with the C# language and Unity game engine.

  • Extensive knowledge of vertex, pixel, and compute shaders.

  • Knowledgeable in a variety of special FX techniques and the latest rendering algorithms. 

  • Familiar with game asset pipelines.

  • Ability to collaborate with artists on graphics techniques.

  • Have graphic programming experience on OSX, Windows and IOS.

  • Excellent spoken and written communication  in English.

EXTRAS:

Though not strictly required, candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas would be given more consideration:

  • Game design.

  • 2+ years game programming experience is a plus. Game industry experience is not strictly required, but is strongly preferred.

  • Profiling and optimizing to remove bottlenecks.

  • Ability to create support tools and technology as needed for specific project requirements.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as part of a small yet agile engineering team.

  • Assist in bringing a new game project from prototype to release.

  • Optimize the performance on rendering.

  • Communicate with non-engineers about the details of bugs, feature requests, and design concepts.

  • Design and develop new gameplay features in cooperation with other team members.

  • A love of storytelling + indie games is a big plus!
